As per the latest policy of COVID-19, starting from April 29, all passengers bound to China may choose to take antigen tests within 48 hours before boarding prior to nucleic acid (PCR) test. Airlines will no longer check pre-departure testing results.
In order to facilitate the international travel for passengers to China, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan prepares the “Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers”. Details are as follows, all passengers bound to China are required to follow the protocols strictly.
Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers
I. Pre-boarding Test
All China-bound travelers will need to take self-antigen test or PCR test for COVID-19 within 48 hours before boarding, and can only travel to China when your test result is negative or after it turns from positive to negative.
II. Health Declaration to China Customs
You are required to declare your negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat Mini-program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn, or via the China Customs APP.
III. Airlines will no longer check pre-departure testing results.
IV. Self-protection on the Aircraft
Kindly abide by all the epidemic prevention protocols of the airlines and take good personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.
V. Inspection upon Entry
You can go through customs with your health declaration result, and China Customs may take random inspection.
If you have passed the health declaration and entry inspection, no further requirements will be imposed.
If there are anomalies in your health declarations or you are showing symptoms such as fever, you are required to follow the epidemic and medical surveys and sample collection conducted by China Customs.
VI. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control
After entry into China, you will have to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention requirements of the place where you stay.
