Notice on the Latest Requirements of Negative Nucleic Acid and Serum Antibody Test for Passengers Boarding Commercial Flights from Pakistan to China

I. As per the latest requirements from China, time limits of nucleic acid test report (PCR) for those passengers boarding commercial airlines from Pakistan to China is within 3 days (72 hours), and validity of the report will be calculated from sampling collection time instead of report issuing time.

II. Serum antibody test (IGM) should be conducted along with nucleic acid test (PCR) within 3 days. The negative reports of eligible nucleic acid test and serum antibody test (IGM) should be uploaded (both results printed on the same report are acceptable) to the Wechat mini program immediately once received from the institution. Ensure to review all the basic information including name, passport number, personal photo and the flight number departing from Pakistan etc. before uploading. For those passengers ultimately bound for China who transfer via other countries, photocopies of air ticket or itinerary should be uploaded to the Wechat mini program COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version as well. If foreign passengers apply for the Health Declaration Form, the same requirement of the negative reports of eligible nucleic acid test and serum antibody test (IGM) should be observed.

III. Institutions capable of providing both nucleic acid test and serum antibody test among eight institutions designated by the Chinese Embassy and Consulate General in Pakistan are as follows:

i. Islamabad Diagnostic Centre/Shifa International Hospital (designated by the Chinese Embassy)

ii. Islamabad Diagnostic Centre /Chughtai Lab (designated by the Chinese Consulate General in Lahore)

iii. Advanced Lab (pvt) Ltd/Children's Hospital Karachi/Dr. Essa Lab (designated by the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi)

IIII. The above updated requirements will be formally implemented by the Chinese Embassy and Consulate General in Pakistan since 25 October, 2020.

The Chinese Embassy and Consulate General in Pakistan remind passengers of traveling from Pakistan to China to assess travel risks and make arrangements for long-distance travel carefully. To avoid post-test infection, please pay attention to personal protection and self-quarantine, and do not go to public places after conducting the test.
