In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, starting from November 01, 2020 , all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Pakistan to China will be required to take both nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests and then apply for the green health code with the “HS”mark or a certified health declaration form before boarding the flight. The specific requirements are as follows:
I.Test Requirements
i.Passengers going from Pakistan to China via direct flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests within 48 hours before boarding. They must take the tests at a medical institution designated by the Chinese embassy/consulates and then apply at the Chinese embassy/consulates for a green health code with the “HS”mark or a certified health declaration form with certificates of negative results of both tests.
ii.Passengers going from Pakistan to China via connecting flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Pakistan within 48 hours before boarding their flight to the transit country and then take tests again in the transit country within 48 hours before boarding the plane to China. Passengers must apply at the Chinese embassy/consulates in both countries for green health codes with the “HS”mark or certified health declaration forms with certificates of negative results of both tests.
The first test should be taken in Pakistan before getting negative results of both tests within 48 hours of departure. The second test should be taken in transit country (the country of direct flight to China) before getting negative results of both tests within 48 hours of departure.
II. Chinese Passengers Applying for Green Health Code with the “HS” Mark
Chinese passengers must upload to the WeChat Health Code app photos of their negative nucleic Acid and IgM anti-body tests results and all trip flight tickets to China before making sure that the name, passport number, photo,flight number departing from Pakistan etc., which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese embassy/consulates. Then they will get the green health code with the “HS”mark verification. Passengers must present the green code within its validity period to airlines flying directly to China before boarding. Please board the plane within its validity period and follow the checking procedures of the airlines. Airlines operating direct flights to China will check and release passengers with the "HS" green health code issued by the Chinese diplomatic and consular missions. Please pay attention to boarding within the health code period and check with the airline before boarding.
III.Foreign Passengers Applying for Certified Health Status Declaration Form
Foreign passengers must email the scanned copies of their negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results along with their passport bio-data page, all trip flight tickets to China and the signed health declaration form to the Chinese embassy/consulates mailbox. The Chinese embassy/consulates will then examine and verify the above information and email the stamped certified health form back to the passenger. Passengers are advised to print the form out and bring the form with them to the airport. They must present the form within its validity period to the airlines flying directly to China before boarding.

V. Special reminder
i.Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Failure to obtain the green health code with the “HS” mark or a certified health declaration form with negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results means you do not quality for boarding the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.
ii. Please think twice before taking the flight from Pakistan to China via the third country, and check the transit country’s entry regulations and its nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests requirements in the transit place beforehand, to prevent the cases of being rejected by the transit country or the test, health code or health status declaration etc. not meeting the requirements, which will lead to the consequence of being blocked and stranded in the transit place, and increase the risk of epidemic infection.
iii. After entering Pakistan, passengers travelling from the third country should complete nucleic acid and IgM antibody test before taking the flight from Pakistan to China. Considering the fact that Pakistan airport does not provide test for transit passengers and there is no international transit zone in all its international airports, all transit passengers should get the relevant Pakistan visa in advance before being allowed to arrive at the international departure zone. Please take precaution before choosing Pakistan as the transit country to China.
iv. This notice will be implemented from November 1, 2020. From the date of implementation, the previous notifications from the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Pakistan regarding the health code and nucleic acid testing are subject to this notification.
v. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Pakistan once again remind passengers to reconsider their travel plans and avoid nonessential international travel at this time. After testing, passengers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel activities and take precaution measures to avoid infection.
