Ambassador Yao Jing Called on Chief Justice of Pakistan

On January 16, 2018, Ambassador Yao Jing called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.

Justice Nisar welcomed Ambassador Yao Jing and said that Pakistan has always taken China as a deeply trusted brother, and is grateful to China for its strong support for Pakistan’s development. The Supreme Court of Pakistan highly appreciated the achievement made by China in advancing law-based governance, and actively supported the development of Pakistan-China relationship and the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. It will work with the Chinese side to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in the judicial field, and make more contribution to the development of Pakistan-China relationship.

Ambassador Yao spoke highly of China-Pakistan relations, and appreciated that the Supreme Court of Pakistan pays close attention and attaches importance to the bilateral relations. Ambassador Yao said that advancing law-based governance was an important part of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and also an important part of the four-pronged comprehensive strategy of China. In the process of advancing its law-based governance, China attached great importance to strengthening judicial exchanges and cooperation with Pakistan. China was ready to make joint efforts with Pakistan to make new contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
