On January 11, Ambassador Yao Jing called on Chairman of Senate Mian Raza Rabbani.

Chairman Rabbani welcomed Ambassador Yao to Pakistan. He said Pakistan-China relationship was cared and supported by the leaders of the two countries and rooted in the hearts of the two peoples. In Apirl 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the joint session of the Parliament of Pakistan, encompassing the building of community of shared future between China and Pakistan; chalked the roadmap for the development of Pakistan-China relationship in the new era. Pakistan hails China’s support for the economic and social development of Pakistan. Pakistan is also grateful to China for its support in countering terrorism, international and regional affairs. Pakistan always abide by one China policy. No matter which party is in power, Pakistan would maintain and promote Pakistan-China relationship and push forward the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The Senate of Pakistan is willing to further strengthen friendly exchanges between the parliaments of two countries.

Ambassador Yao highly spoke of China–Pakistan relationship, appreciated Chairman Rabbani and Senate of Pakistan for rendering their efforts in promoting China–Pakistan relationship. He said that China is willing to work together with Pakistan to implement the consensus reached by leadership of the two countries, to promote further bilateral cooperation and friendly exchanges in various fields. China and Pakistan shall join hands to promote the construction of CPEC, invest more in people’s wellbeing projects and strive to build China-Pakistan community of shared future.
