Ambassador Sun Weidong Visits Northern Areas of Pakistan

Ambassador Sun Weidong visited northern areas of Pakistan from Oct. 12th to 16th, 2013.

Ambassador Sun enjoyed a joyful gathering of ex-Chinese Uyghur and Tajik Community and celebrated the Eid festival, the traditional Muslim festival. Ambassador Sun extended felicitations to the ex-Chinese Community and promised of future support and care from the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, especially to the poor families. Ambassador Sun visited houses of poor ex-Chinese families, presented to them daily necessities, and encouraged them to unite and overcome difficulties. Ambassador Sun also presented stationeries and scholarship to local schools.

Ambassador Sun addressed on the completion ceremony of renovation project of the graveyard for martyrs during the construction of Karakoram Highway, presented wreath to the monument and greeted the administrative staff of the graveyard. Ambassador Sun also visited the KKH upgradation project, by-pass of Attabad Lake project, and Pakistan-China Sost dryport corporation.
